ABOUT

Born in Charleston, SC December 23, 1989 Avery Delores Bateman was born to Rosalind and Robert Bateman. She is the oldest of two. She and her younger Brother, Ian were raised to both appreciate the beauty of the world and to also caution it. But no one really paid mind to cautioning the world when Music continuously filled their home and art fueled their family.

Greatly encouraged by her family,
Avery began drawing and painting at a young age and continued with her Visual Art skills well into her adulthood.
She studied years of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap at the Robert Ivy Ballet school of Dance in Charleston, SC.

Avery and her family then moved to Columbia, SC in January of 2000. From Elementary School at Seven Oaks Elementary, all the way to Irmo High School Avery willingly became immersed in anything having to do with wit the Arts.
She entered into Poetry contests, All-State choir competitions, auditioned for School Plays and Musicals, and took any class that could allow her to draw and paint and create.

Avery attended Coker College in Fall of 2007 and, for 2 1/2 years, double-majored in Classical Vocal Performance and Classical Theatre. On the second semester of her Junior year Avery decided to study Musical Theatre and end her Bachelor's Degree with the changed career path.

"I knew I always had more of a love for Musical Theatre and Broadway and Lerner and Loewe as opposed to one day singing with the Metropolitan Opera and sadly attempting to be Renee Flemming or Kathleen Battle."

Avery is a Professional Singer, Actress and Dancer with her Trustus Theatre family. She is also a freelance Wedding Singer, Model, and Makeup Artist.
She has been continuously working with superb photographers such as Joe Hood with Imagine That Photography, Varonika Brown with LaFotografia, Lumos Studio Photography, Patrick Oates with Patrick Oates Photography, and Shae Winston with Genesis Productions and Winston Visions.
She has been seen in several local commercials around Columbia; Including Mad Monkey Productions.
Avery has also recently premiered in a commercial piece for the newly launched online Fashion magazine- based out of L.A., EMAGE; created by Steven Cuoco and commercial shot and filmed by Imari Anderson, CEO of Surviving Child Productions of Columbia, SC.

Avery, 25 years old, is both a Petite Model and Actress. She is also a Motives Cosmetics Representative and currently resides in Downtown Columbia with her cat, Isis.
